A small light that turns on by itself when you're up and about. The people who love you see it lit, and nobody has to call and ask.
How it works
When your phone notices you're up and moving, your light turns on for the day. No button to press, no check-in to remember.
A small widget on their home screen shows your light. Amber means today, all good. They can send back a wave or a heart.
First it nudges you. Only if you don't answer does it let your people know, first by notification, then by text if they've chosen it.
For your parents
You set it up together once. You see her light each morning. No cameras in her home, no tracking where she goes, no pendant she forgets to wear.
For living alone
Pick two or three people. They'll only hear from OkayKin if your light stays off past your usual time. The rest of the time, it's just a quiet "all good."
Our promise
The phone shares one thing: that you were up today, and what time. Nothing else about your day.
Pricing
No. The light turns on by itself when they use their phone in the morning. If it hasn't seen them by their usual time, it sends them one gentle "tap if you're OK" reminder before anyone is told.
They'll get the gentle reminder first, and you'll only be told if they don't answer by their usual time plus a grace period. There's also an "away today" button.
No. OkayKin is a daily "all good" signal between people who care about each other. In an emergency, call 911.
No. On an iPhone the light turns on by itself, and Android is in testing now. If your parent has a flip phone or a landline, OkayKin sends one friendly text or call each morning instead, and any reply turns their light on. You'll still see it the same way.
iPhone first: the automatic light is tested and working there. Android is being tested on Samsung phones now and will follow. Any mobile phone that can text, or any landline, works for the daily check-in. We'll tell waitlist members exactly what to expect for their phone.
We're building it now. Join the waitlist and you'll be first to try it, starting in the US.
OkayKin isn't live yet, so nothing will be charged. Leave your email and we'll hold the $3.99 founding price for you when the Family plan opens.
